The Punjab government has officially opened registration for the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025, an initiative designed to support outstanding students by providing 110,000 state-of-the-art laptops. Among these, 2,000 laptops have been specifically allocated for minority students. The program is open to both matriculated and intermediate students who meet the eligibility criteria.
Laptop Allocation & Specifications
Under this scheme, laptops will be distributed as follows:
- 20,000 units for university students
- 14,000 units for college students
- 4,000 units for students enrolled in technical and agricultural colleges
- 2,000 units for students from medical and dental colleges
Additionally, 32% of the total laptops will be allocated to students from South Punjab, ensuring a fair distribution across the province. The scheme covers students from diverse academic disciplines, including computer science, medicine, engineering, social sciences, business, languages, veterinary sciences, and agriculture.
Eligibility Criteria & Registration Process
To be eligible, students must meet the following requirements:
✔️ Hold a domicile from any district in Punjab
✔️ Be enrolled in the 1st or 2nd semester of a BS program at a public university or college
✔️ Minimum academic requirements:
- 65% marks in Intermediate (for public sector universities/colleges)
- 80% marks in Intermediate (for public sector medical and dental colleges/universities)
✔️ Must not have received a laptop under any previous government scheme

Distribution Timeline
The distribution process is set to begin after Ramadan 2025, with laptops expected to be handed out in April or May. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has confirmed that the first batch of laptops has already arrived, and distribution ceremonies will be organized across the province.
